This tour takes hikers through Volcán National Park , along the gorgeous Sendero Los Queztales, widely considered to be the most beautiful trail in all central america. Those that choose to hike the whole trail will start in the town of Cerro Punta on the western side of Volcán Barú and after 9.6km (6miles) will finish in Bajo Mono above the town of Boquete on the eastern side. Hikers who are looking for a shorter hike will start and finish at the trail head in Bajo Mono after hiking to the trails highest point, 2500m above sea level. If your looking to catch a glimpse of the Resplendent Quetzal this trail is your best option.
Be sure to wear good hiking shoes, the trail can be quite slick and is steep in sections. Also bring a warm sweater or jacket, temperatures in the morning can be chilly.
